I Cared
Before I start, I'd like to say:
I didn't write this tune,
A borrowed tune.
What's new?
Well, thank you.
Just sitting here by myself,
Too lazy to write my own.
Dizzy, thinking of love.
How it could, how it did not.
And, I cared, cared, cared.
I lived in a town in North Anywhere.
A little town called Purdy Down,
I left my thoughts there.
Too rough - I just had to go.
Until this day, I don't know why.
Too many days - too many sighs.
Saying bye was harder than being gone.
Heaven forgive me if I had been wrong.
