Health: No More Bills

The doctors work for the people.  Or, themselves?  Or, the government?  They must take an oath to provide health care to patients.  Governments must provide the public's need for Medicare.  The public has many worries concerning the health care system in Canada.  No more bills!" are the cries of the people.  Ontario can be a better place to live.

If you were a poor citizen of Ontario and could not afford Medicare, not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (O.H.I.P.), you would most likely die from your illness.  People of all ages and races, and of both sexes, must be entitled to the best medical system that governments can provide.  It is their right.  Now, thanks to the elected Liberal Party of Ontario, this dream has become a reality.

First of all, we must ask ourselves, "Who do the doctors work for - the people or themselves?"  Of course, the doctors work for the people - although they might think they work for themselves.  If they did not, then, they are obviously breaching their moral oath.  Physicians do take an oath at the end of their graduation, stating that they promise to serve the public when in need.

The public is not quite sure about the doctors not having to extra bill patients.  People worry that the medical system will degrade itself with overcharges.  Doctors will get even more frustrated with the government and not perform their duties.  More walk-outs and walk-ins, deaths and serious illnesses in the days to come, just like those before all of the extra-billing, or the bill was passed.  However, let us not over exaggerate this problem.  This would be a serious breach of moral oath and doctors would be seriously penalised by government officials.  Or, would they?

Ontario will be a better place to live with free Medicare.  People of low income will, finally, have a better chance of being healthy.  The fear of paying medical expenses will no exist; many among us have not seen a doctor due to decades long appointment lists.  Why?  Due to money or lack thereof from the government.  Let us hope that the preceding governments will not try to abolish Complete Medicare. - end extra fees.
