Definition: Freedom
A definition of enjoying civil liberty can vary from one person to another, yet through it all, freedom is at its core. For the most part, it must be agreed upon that freedom is a person's right to live as a person wishes. The permission to be responsible to ourselves is yet another condition of being free. For people of African decent who lived day by day in slavery in the United States of America during the 16th Century CE, liberty from bondage would have meant more than any free person could imagine. In addition, it is said that each person has the personal choice of belief, or thought, but truthfully, that is all. In a democratic society, total freedom is difficult to find. Supreme Courts are governed by laws; human existence is ruled by the laws of physics; ethics and religion have always dominated the enjoyment of libertinism - freedom denied. All things, however, exist on the basses that other things exist, too. Everyone or everything depends on someone or something else. It cannot be any other way. Therefore, within the laws of nature and the laws by which societies are governed, let people equally live life the way people wish - social entity - freedom to chose.
