Framing Presentation

by

Paul-Robert Hipkiss

Frames have been around for quite some time.  Right from the beginning of the framed doorway leading to the magnificent pictures of the hills of the Acropolis.  There were other types of frames such as the Byzantine Casing.  The one mostly known for its beauty was the DaVinci magnificence., which formed around the 15th and 16th Centuries CE. Then, human kind invented a more modern type of frame.  Of course, changes came with their own beauty, too.

This is the type of frame I would like to introduce to you as best as I can.

I shall be talking about the various tools, the most suitable type of business, products and sales promotions, and then pricing and advertising.

I would like to dedicate this presentation's time mostly to the sales promotions and pricing sections.

Tools:

Cheap tools will not do the work efficiently and are constantly in need of replacement.  Unless, if you have the money, it is wise to buy good tools from the beginning.

First, a bench is highly needed.  Tied to the floor.  And away from all walls so work can be done in any which way.

Then, you will need a steal saw.  50 cm or 20 inches would be good.  Do not forget a drill.  Black and Decker have many great drills.  Lastly, a good clamping tool is needed, too.  It is used to hold the corners of the frame.  It is necessary for it to have a firm grip.  This brings the two pieces of the frame together while joining the corner.

Other tools may include: pliers, screwdrivers, and cutters.  The basics herein are merely to get things started. Additional tools can be added.

Partnership:

First of all, the name of the Partnership is "Framing Factory."  The business was first originated in Toronto.  "Framing Factory" wanted to enlarge its business from city to city in the Central Ontario District.  Because of relationships and interests with other framing companies, we decided to form a Partnership in Toronto.  Prior to this formation, Framing Factory was a sole-proprietorship type of business.

I'm junior partner because of my low investment to the total capital.  Peter Minas is senior partner.  The size of investment and experience in the business gives him more authority.  Another reason why we decided to form a partnership is because I would be receiving goods and supplies from the main factory in Toronto.

Product (Sales Promotion):

The "Framing Factory" will give a buyer a 30-day warranty.  Anything that could possibly happen to the frame, mat, or glass will be replaced free of charge.  Also, the company will guarantee fast service, too.

Something catchy!  Upon any purchased frame, if the customer can find the same frame of the same quality at a lower price, the "Framing Factory" will match that price.

Since the business is qualified mostly for custom made frames, the customer need not deposit any money for orders.  The reason for this is that the company wants the consumer to realise the trust relationship between the customer and the company, e.g.: The Bay and Eatons do not require deposits.  In case of damage, and I repeat in case of damage, frames are very easy to repair.

One even can repair it oneself.  Much easier that wooden frames.  If a metal frame would fall and hit another object, obviously damaging it, the frame would in all likelihood be damaged at one point.  But, a wooden frame would most likely be damaged at a few points other than that of impact.  The reasoning behind this is that with metals, atoms are much less compressed than that of wood.  The compressed they are, the easier they are to fix.

Pricing:

If we have a picture with dimensions 16x26 (allow 3 inches for width and 3 inches for length.  That would give us a final frame with dimensions 22x32.  The additional 3 inches are for the mat.  Let us say that had such an order.  A 22 inches of an S-11 type of metal frame totals $4.85.  We have our width, now the price of our length, which is 32 inches of an S-11 type totals $6.30.

In order to figure what size mat we need, we adjust our width with our length.  You might notice that our total figures won't match with the Table 1 Chart.  So, it is always best to add a couple of inches.  It is always easier to cut a few inches than to add a few.  A measurement of 22x32=54 will take a 58-inch mat.  The mat will cost $6.15.  Then, the glass will have the same dimensions as the mat.  The price for the glass is $20.80.  Lastly, the labour cost is $8.25, of which is cheaper than market value.  This is your custom-made frame.

Your Do-It-Yourself frames or Already-Made frames are cheaper.  For further info on the prices, please visit the plant.  Yet, for example, although they vary, some include $21.10.  Remember that all prices are listed wholesale.

Advertising:

The company's means of advertising are newspapers, magazines, radio, television, outdoor advertising, direct mail, transportation ads, packaging, and word-of-mouth.

Unfortunately, man can look at pictures or a pictured base advertisement better than he can read one.  Two of the basic reasons are that it is easier and a lot faster.  Also, sometimes it does get boring to read advertisements, whereas looking at a picture no matter how ugly it might be - a picture is a picture - it will attract your attention regardless.

I tried to invent two picture base advertisements.  Two completely new ideas.  I tried to picture myself reading a newspaper, and all of a sudden, my attention was draw upon this one weird advertisement.

Since my product is made out of metal colour gold, for example, a pair of gold glasses and in the part where the glasses should have been, there is the picture of a beautiful lady.  A couple of words are beneath this picture "We've got sales and no-one can match them, so get your gold-plated picture frames now - "Framing Factory" 33 Sherbourne Street, Toronto, Ontario, L1M -3X3, Telephone: 416-368-4767.

The next day as usual I got my daily paper.  As I was ready threw.  A jail door - and in the middle was a small window - framed of course.  Behind the picture was a framed window with a picture of paradise.  There were also words below, too: "Free your pictures!  Give some light to them now!"  Below was the name of the company and contact information.

Other:

There is always heating: causing explosions - electrons to electrons - carbon.  But, you don't have to fear about any type of damage.  My product is very strong as you can see.

It comes in many colours.  The basic colours, of course, plus silver and gold.  Beige is a popular one as well as black and white.  Our coloured frames have backed enamel in them, so in case if you accidently hit the frame, the colouring won't come off.  You can burnish this type of frame as well as any other type of wooden frame.  Giving it an antikick look is also popular.  The frame is not deep and is only rounded on its outside edge.  This giving the picture better light.  Good pictures need good frames.  Also, the gap in between the picture and the glass caused by the mat.  This way you won't have the picture stick to the glass.
